The front door leads to the kitchen and is easily accessible for wheelchair users. At the end of the short hall there is a bedroom and en-suite shower room. You can choose whether you have single beds or a double bed. The bedroom has access to the private patio which is level and faces south.
The lounge is spacious and bright with patio doors leading to the south-facing patio. There is a sofa bed suitable for extra guests with prior consent.
The stairs in the lounge lead to the first floor where there is another bedroom and en-suite. There is a double and a single bed..
The south facing patio area has a rotary clothes line, table and chairs for dining or relaxing outside. You look out on to our small orchard and across the fields. There is a public footpath and in this field in the spring, summer and autumn you will be able to watch the cows and their calves.
Great Torrington is a short drive or walk away. It has a small supermarket and shops where you can get all the basics. There is an Arts centre where you can watch a film , enjoy an exhibition, or just have coffee. The pannier market is open some days during the week and you can go to the library or visit 1646 the museum.
Torrington is a civil war town and the many people who work at the museum can often be seen wandering the streets in 17th Century dress and speaking in Olde English. The museum is fascinating and well worth a visit. |
